Welcome to Croydon Removals. Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using our services. By engaging our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms.
1. Definitions
- Service: The removal and relocation services provided by Croydon Removals.
- Customer: The individual or entity requesting removal services.
- Goods: All items to be moved as part of the Service.
2. Booking and Confirmation
To secure a booking with Croydon Removals, customers must provide accurate information regarding their move. Upon confirmation, a booking reference will be issued. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure all details are correct.
2.1 Changes to Booking
Any changes to the booking must be communicated at least 48 hours in advance. Failure to do so may result in additional charges.
3. Charges and Payment
All fees for the Service are outlined in the initial quote provided. Prices are subject to change based on the actual requirements of the move.
- Payment Terms: Payments are due upon completion of the Service unless otherwise agreed upon.
- Accepted Payment Methods: We accept cash, credit/debit cards, and bank transfers.
3.1 Additional Costs
Additional costs may apply for services not included in the initial quote, such as packing materials, storage, or special handling of fragile items.
4. Customer Obligations
The customer agrees to:
- Provide accurate information about the move.
- Ensure that all items are properly packed and ready for transport.
- Secure any necessary permissions or permits required for the removal.
4.1 Access
The customer must ensure that our removal team has safe and unobstructed access to the property on the scheduled moving day.
5. Liability
Croydon Removals ensures the utmost care in handling your Goods. However, our liability for loss or damage is limited to the actual value of the Goods as declared at the time of booking.
- Insurance: Customers are encouraged to obtain additional insurance for high-value items.
- Exclusions: We are not liable for delays caused by unforeseen circumstances such as extreme weather or accidents.
5.1 Force Majeure
In the event of circumstances beyond our control, including natural disasters, war, or other force majeure events, Croydon Removals reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the Service without liability.
6. Cancellation Policy
Customers may cancel the Service by providing written notice. Cancellation fees may apply based on the timing of the cancellation:
- More than 48 hours before the scheduled move: No fee.
- Less than 48 hours before the scheduled move: 50% of the total Service cost.
- No-show: 100% of the total Service cost.
6.1 Rescheduling
Rescheduling is subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
7. Privacy Policy
Croydon Removals is committed to protecting your privacy. We collect and use personal information solely for the purpose of providing our Services.
- Personal Data: Includes name, address, contact information, and details of the move.
- Use of Data: To facilitate the Service, communicate with customers, and improve our offerings.
7.1 Data Protection
We implement appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure of your personal information.
8. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
8.1 Dispute Resolution
Customers are encouraged to first seek a resolution directly with Croydon Removals before pursuing legal action.
9. Amendments
Croydon Removals reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Customers will be notified of any significant changes, and continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
9.1 Notification of Changes
Updates to the Terms and Conditions will be communicated via email or through our official communication channels.
10. Severability
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
11. Entire Agreement
These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the customer and Croydon Removals regarding the Service, superseding all prior agreements or understandings.
11.1 No Waiver
The failure of Croydon Removals to enforce any right or provision of these terms will not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
